      <image:title>Acupuncture - History of Acupuncture Needles</image:title>
<image:caption>Chinese doctors have been practicing acupuncture for thousands of years for a wide range of diseases and disorders. Acupuncture uses needles, so what are they and what is their history? In 1963, a needle made from stone (known as bian shi 砭石) was unearthed in China, which is believed to be between 4,000 and 10,000 years old. The materials which were used to make acupuncture needles were changed over thousands of years. They were made of animal bones, stone, bamboo and metal , eg, copper, iron, even gold or silver which might be only for the rich. Today needles are made of stainless steel and are sterilized and individually packed. Please note: In my acupuncture practice I use only disposable needles for peace of mind.</image:caption>

<image:title>Chinese Herbs - Chinese herbal medicine is an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)</image:title>
<image:caption>In Australia acupuncture is more popular than Chinese herbal medicine, but in China it is the other way around. For thousands of years Chinese people have been using Chinese herbs for treating and preventing diseases and disorders. Chinese people not only take herbs as a medicine, they also put food-grade herbal medicine into their food. I grew up with lots of food-grade herbal medicine soup for well-being and dietary therapy.</image:caption>

<image:title>Products - In my practice, I have seen many people with skin, hair or nail problems. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) may assist the treatment of the following conditions:</image:title>
<image:caption>Skin: eczema, psoriasis, acne and rosacea. Nail: fungal nail infection. Scalp or hair: hair loss especially due to stress or after giving birth, split ends, dandruff, itch or sensitive of the scalp, dry and dull looking hair. Consultation is generally needed since I need to make a Chinese medicine diagnosis to find out what is causing the problem. Beauty is from inside out. We need to balance our body to achieve health and beauty.</image:caption>
